Institutional communication at the KLI

Position: Communications consultant and officer

I collaborated with Guido Caniglia, former scientific director of the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research (KLI) to create and build the communications wing of the KLI as their communications consultant and officer. My job was to develop communication products that can showcase the wide diversity of projects funded by the KLI-- A Home to Theory that Matters and construct an interdisciplinary identity and a community of philosophers, historians, evolutionary biologists, and sustainability scholars.

Strategic Communications:

• Design communications strategic plan and content calendar
• Create and maintain an internal contact database (CRM) of stakeholders and communities to diversify recruitment

Channels:

• Newsletter: Create, design, and write-up the seasonal newsletter (The KLife Newsletter) (interviews, announcements, etc.)
• Website: Create news content for the KLI website (interviews, announcements, etc.)
• Social Media: Create and coach social media campaigns on Twitter (@KLIAustria)
